Preparing for the Seal of Biliteracy for Tamil

Students are offered special coaching classes by volunteers from Thamizh Schools USA, Aram Tamil Palli, and few parents who are well versed in the subjects.

Eligibility:

All high school students who are proficient in the Tamil language are eligible to take assessments.

Assessments:

Students are required to take 2 assessments. The assessments can be taken in any high school year and in any order.

Students who demonstrate defined proficiency in the language through the assessments will have the seal of biliteracy endorsed in the high school transcript.

Note: The above information will be available on the school district's websites that have approved the Tamil language assessments.

Coaching classes:

Since this is the first school year (2021-22) that the Tamil language is approved for the Seal of Biliteracy, special coaching classes will be conducted for TVA assessments HG10.

Students from 10th, 11th and 12th are eligible to join this class.
